Adobe Illustrator

    Do you, or your paper for that matter, use Illustrator? My paper has it on one computer, and we've got one news designer who knows how to use it. I was thinking of copying it onto my laptop and messing around with it (the one news designer who knows it lent me a textbook she used to learn it).

    Am I wasting my time? I know literally nothing about it, except that it's my understanding that it can be used to create logos. What else does it do?

    I used it to make a map for a program I designed.

    It's dead useful for creating graphics which can be scaled to any size, since they are vector images.

    I'm still learning all the things Illustrator can do, but I love it so far.
