    Why am I getting so many alerts? All of my options are correctly checked off. It's a new thing that is happening. I only want ones that pertain to me so that I can address them. I get them if someone posts in a thread that I have read. So.many.notification!! That little number at the top of the screen!! It haunts me, it taunts me!!
    Seriously wtf is up?

    Haven’t had this any more than usual. Maybe check your notification settings—are you following a bunch of threads that send notifications every time someone posts on them?

    It just means you're getting read more than most dead-tree edition stories. Probably outnumbering some digital-only stories, too.
