First of all, the difference between Hakeem fasting during Ramadan and Tebow screaming about his faith every time someone sticks a microphone in his face is Grand Canyon vast. I presume you know that.

I don't think people who believe in religion are stupid, weak people (there you go, misrepresenting me again--not the first time, not the last time). I think they are wasting their time and energy and breath, because I have seen, first-hand and multiple times, that prayer simply does not work. People who believe in a god--any god--are going to realize at the finish line that everything went for naught and that their time on Earth could have been much better spent because in the end, not a damn thing mattered.

Very cute and flowery explanation of why you would have a problem with a religion-spewing Muslim QB, though. Good thing there has never been a single radical Christian killing for his or her god.

Dumb article. He cites to athletes. One, has no problem until he refuses to stand for the National Anthem. The other was a draft evader, a critic of a war we were involved in, and one of the most outspoken athletes to ever compete.

How do either compare two Tebow, who is humble, stands for the National Anthem, and has not embroiled himself in political controversy? (I suppose some will mention the Super Bowl ad, but tell me what he said in the ad that was controversial?)

What about Muhammad Ali? Joined the Nation of Islam, refused to fight in Vietnam because he would not "help continue the domination of white slavemasters over dark people the world over," and from that controversy he still became one of the most beloved sportsmen of our time.

Screaming about Jesus? When has Tebow ever done this?

More to the point, what is the acceptable behavior for a prominent Christian when speaking about their faith? Only when asked? Only with a caveat that all faiths are valid? Only with a caveat that Christians have done lots of bad things in world history too? Not at all.

The man loves Jesus and considers his faith an integral part of who he is. Why is it damnable that he express it? Why should anyone be made to feel inferior for expressing whatever faith they have?

This is all I'm looking for. Some honest analysis (even if I disagree the detractors wouldn't be as detracting). Nice to see out of some people.

He can express it whenever he wants at church. I don't want to be exposed to it. Anywhere. By anybody.

As for Tebow screaming about his faith, we can argue semantics and phrasing all we want, but the Google searches do not lie.

You don't think there'd be some people who, for various reasons, would pull their punches? I'm not saying everyone, but I'd be shocked if there weren't a few.

Should religion not be spoken about at all publicly? Is it really more offensive than the shit on the Animation Domination block?

I don't want to live in a country where people are allowed to publicly express ideas or beliefs I don't agree with.

    Pantera sucks. Cutler rocks.

Is that enough to get you to find your passport?

    So, I answer your question.

But, you don't reply to mine?
