Oregon State? Wouldn't be so sure they're libs. Recently dated an OSU alum, and Corvallis is the conservative side of Oregon higher ed. Now if these people were from the more drug-crazed liberal redoubt of Eugene...I could see it.

There a few things that I find more stupid than the "cultural appropriation" bullshit.

It's a remarkably narr0w-minded way for supposedly liberal people to be thinking.

Nothing says impartiality like using "libs" in a headline.

I recently read Richard Rorty's "Achieving Our Country" and suddenly wished everyone on the left (myself included) had read it before the 2000s started. We would've solved so many headaches and kept Trump corralled inside TV screens and WWE rings.

Nothing says "politics" like using "libs" in a headline. So this one likely won't last long

Well, to fall back on my most frequent excuse to readers: "I don't write the headlines."

You're treating "liberal" and "intelligent" as synonyms. They're not necessarily.

Yeah, I know. Should have made clear it wasn't directed at you - and that you didn't write the head is just one reason it is still open.

It's some others on here I worry about.

A Korean family bought the bagel shop in my town and kept the name and still sells lox and white fish and cream cheeses. For the first year or so the bagels were terrible. Smaller than before and too soft. But in the last year or so, they have done a great job. It's better than it was and they've expanded into a pretty decent deli too, for a suburban Maryland locale. As a member of the tribe I felt no cultural appropriation by a Korean owned deli. It's was weird though seeing the family make bagels in the back. It's a pretty cool thing.
