AMC's The Walking Dead

I bought World War Z last night. I'm really looking forward to reading it.

Also, obviously looking forward to tomorrow's finale.

Writers NOT fired.

So pissed that this was on opposite the Steelers game. I caught most of it between commercial breaks and the second run, but I missed the opening scene both times.

Do they re-run these during the week?

I'm sure you'll find a re-run here or there, you'll track it down I'm sure.

As for the finale itself. I was kind of let down. I was expecting more of a shocking ending...although the start of the Andrea/Dale relationship seems to have started. Don't get me wrong, blowing shirt up is a good way to end it, but I guess I wasn't expecting it to end on that note, something more 'cliffhangery.'

I'm assuming Jenner told Rick that Lori was preggos...and maybe he even dropped in a Maury-ish "You ain't the daddy" line as well.

I read all the comics over the last 2 weeks (bit torrent RAWKS!) so I won't spoil anything, but if they get to half of what the comics have, this show is going to be a heck of a gem in the coming seasons.

Too bad we now have to start a countdown...T-minus 9+ months and ticking down.

I thought the finale was damn good. There were a few scenes that had me in awe. Like my mouth was literally agape. Jenner explaining TS-19 and how the brain works was cool. The lockdown - Jenner telling everyone that the world is forked and they'd all be better off dead.

I don't see Dale and Andrea as a "couple," persay. More like a father-daughter friendship or something.

I have so many questions. Just a few off the top of my head.

* What did Jenner say to Rick?
* What is the status of Rick and Shane's friendship, especially after that skirmish?
* Where do they go now? The CDC is blown up!
* Are there other gov't agencies or structures somewhere?

So much great dialogue, especially from Jenner. "This is our extinction event." Haunting.

The world is forked far more than I thought it was.

There aren't really any zombies. This isn't a reality show.

Wait...you mean...I SHOULDN'T have shot my wife in the head this morning in the darkness of the bedroom because she was groaning and shuffling her feet toward the bathroom?

Tough call. Does she hog the covers?

They seem to be going in a significantly different direction than what I've read in the books. No spoilers (not that they seem to be similar enough to matter), but the books apparently heavily resisted the idea of Lost-style ANSWERS! and learning too much about the zombies. Even what we've learned so far is a big diversion from that.

Yeah, but, how awesome were those scenes? Jenner painted the dread so well.

I was really disappointed in the finale. The CGI was laughable. And the explosion at the end woulda picked up the RV and tossed it, not to mention killed the old man and blondie. Little shirt like that bugs me.

Also: TS-19 was the Doc's wife? Who didn't see that coming a mile away? HACKNEYED.

The explosion is about the only thing I didn't like. Wouldn't something that big affect other buildings around it?

It doesn't bother me that TS-19 was the doc's wife. Maybe that was where the sample he was testing in episode five came from.
