American Idol, 1/16-1/17

Fireworks with Firehouse does sound like the type of thing a band would do after it has already slipped into has-been mode.

The Steelheart song was great. It was so over-the-top...a complete product of the era. That song would never get released in any year other than 1989 or 1990. Plus, no dude's pipes should go that high. It was worth listening to just to try and mimic.

 

Night 2 isn't starting very well.

There hasn't been a decent singer yet.

 

People seem a lot pushier in Seattle.

 

It's all the rain. They're depressed.

 

That was too funny.


EDIT: And so was his 'fro.

 

OK.. This blonde chick scares me. She has the bland personality Daria had on her show. There is NO inflection in her voice whatsoever.

 

Omg, you're right. She acted/looked just liked Daria.
But Daria is still cooler.

 

What a bizarre speech pattern she has. I have my daughter howling at my impression of the way she speaks.

 

That guy was awesome.

 

Finally, somebody who can sing. Very nice.

Still think the curly haired Sarah from Tuesday is the best so far. But he was damn good.

 

This should be interesting. I really think her outfit might be the craziest I've ever seen on this show.

I'm going to have to get rid of Seattle as a honeymoon option. There are entirely too many freaks. Too many.

 

Watching this a few minutes behind...tone-deaf mom REALLY sucked.

I almost feel for these people who are so clueless as to think they can escape podunkville even though they completely suck. "My son says I sing good!" Yeah? My mom says I look like Kevin Bacon. Doesn't make me a movie star, dumbass.
