Anyone listening to Origins by James Andrew Miller?

I listened to the first half of the 30 for 30 one and it was ridiculous. How did John Skipper put up with him for as long as he did?

Listened to the episode on SportscCenter. It was ok, not many revelations other than the fact that Michael Smith and Jemelle Hill are more egocentric than Keith Olbermann.

Just saw that download. I finally listened for Part 2 of 30 for 30. Bill Simmons comes off as incredibly insecure.

And in the end it seems that Simmons came up with a concept of doing a series of documentaries or ‘true stories’ 30 of them for the 30th anniversary of ESPN. Based on what I heard, he didn’t direct a single one. But made notes and suggestions on some. He wants credit but produced nothing.

I'm in the middle of the first 30 for 30 podcast, and Simmons doesn't seem insecure to me; he seems like an arrogant dickhead (I know, I know, big surprise). Especially with his comments about HBO. I've seen a couple of the HBO docs, and yeah they're in the rather traditional doc format, but they're high quality. Now, I listen to this and Simmons getting his digs in on how HBO does things, and among other things, makes a crack about their 'bad narration.' That made me want to see Leiv Schreiber track him down and channel his "Goon" character on Simmons' rear end.

There is a moment in episode 2 where he pouts about not having his name in the paper. Guess it cost him a scholarship to Chico State or something.

The PTI one was outstanding. The double 30-for-30 ones were good as well. College GameDay was alright for me.
