What phrases or words are banned or considered in poor taste on SportsJournalists.com. I am aware of the general disregard for "methinks". And I know there has been discussion about the "liquid of choice on keyboard" usage.

I would like to propose the phrase "true that" be added as well. Nothing in particular wrong with it, and it does have somewhat of a ring, but it sends a shudder down my spine everytime I read it; not exactly sure why, but perhaps in a trying to come off as too hip sort of fashion.

Are there others that exist or should be added?

This thread could become a good reference primer to future SportsJournalists.com newbies on how to comport themselves properly when writing their posts. Always thinking about the kids, ya know....

    "Should of."

For the love of Christ, never use those two words in conjunction.

Scoreboard-Mebelieves I perchance use methinks. Proveably use it. Demonstrably use it.
