Milledge gets his first key hit for the Mets. A two-run double to give them a 3-1 lead.

How the fuck is Scott Erickson still in the major leagues? I'm calling him the worst 20-game winner ever.

Edit: Leo, as if to confirm your point, Geoff Goetz never made it to the bigs.

I may have found a team that sucks worse than the Nats.

Brewers have misplayed two bunts, now the bases are loaded for Soriano. Lordamighty I'd love to see No. 21 here.

Instead, I have to settle for a double play.
    Oh well.

Derek Jeter just plunked in the right hand by Rodrigo Lopez. He looks pretty pained.

Can't wait to hear the Yankees, who employed Roger Clemens, blame Lopez, as if he's throwing at Jeter up 10-0. Maybe Jeter will refuse to look at Lopez if he tries to apologize, a la Ken Huckaby.

Is that the same hand he hurt in Detroit, sliding into second, which took him out of the game?

That slide didn't look all that bad. Methinks Jeter's just a big pussy.

Well, they loaded 'em again for Soriano.

And this time - BAM - No. 21.

Love this guy. THREE entire farm systems and a new rule about draft picks.

This might be the worst Yankees lineup since 1992:

    1B: Jorge Posada
    2B: Robinson Cano
    3B: Andy Phillips
    SS: Miguel Cairo
    LF: Melky Cabrera
    CF: Terrence Long
    RF: Kevin Thompson
    C: Kelly Stinnett
    P: Scott Erickson

Jeter's X-rays were negative. I don't think he's a big ol pussy, but I don't think he minds the attention for his ginormious ego either.

Boston gets three straight walks in the eighth to take an 8-3 lead. Couple questionable calls by the ump, Leyland tossed.

Bases still loaded in eighth. Varitek up.

Please, please, please, never use that pet Stuart Scott word again. I'm begging you.

As a Braves fan, it's time to call it.

Either the Mets or the Phillies will win the NL East. Cincinnati, Arizona or L.A. will be the wild card.

It was a nice run while it lasted.

If the starters go to shit that team is in real trouble because the bullpen sucks.
