Brandon Webb might disagree, but I like the way you're thinking.

Mother of fuck's sake: I NEVER CALLED CHACON A MONEY PITCHER. I merely disagreed with the notion that he's not a money pitcher, because...ahh hell, it's on the other thread, go get Nurse Betty to read it to you.

Again: The guy who parses Joe Mauer's .380-something to find proof he's soft is killing me for calling A-Rod's #s soft. That's awesome. Of course you fail to find the hilarity in that.

And you probably didn't find much on ARod's failures today because really, it's not news anymore. It's expected. Today was the aberration.

Go back to speed reading the Best of Bill James and get back to us when you decide Ted Williams' .406 was a soft .406. ::)

Damn, the last thing I'd read is Bill James. The "Best" of Bill James is an oxymoron.

For you, however, I'll remove the "oxy" ;D

Ahem. I believe you meant to write ROY - Fielder. My boy Prince has a .296 average, .349 OBP, 12 HR, 38 RBI. He and Lee are among the few bright spots on a team that was nearly torpedoed by Ohka's and Sheets' injuries. Of course, we still get more out of an injured Ohka than the Nats get out of Spivey. <------Dickhead post.  :D

Zimmerman: .283 average, .353 on base, 10 HR and 46 RBI. Average and on base don't include today, HR and RBI do, too.

    Plus he's a gold glove level 3B.

Pretty close right now, our fanboy leanings push us to one side or the other. You can really argue for either guy, though as several said last night it may be moot - Uggla is the guy.

As for Ohka-Spivey: how did the Brewers do in those three games against the Nats earlier this month? Bowden said it was a mistake to make that trade, but Ohka was not going to be able to pitch for Robinson anymore. So it was made.

I wouldn't think Hanley Ramirez is out of it just yet, either. He's in a horrible slump right now, but he's still on pace to score 100 runs and steal about 40 bags. plays good defense too. if he starts hitting again and ends with that average between .280 and .300, he belongs in the conversation too.
If I were voting and had to turn it in today:
    1. Fielder
    2. Uggla
    3. Zimmerman
    4. Ramirez
