No but the SEC can offer a shitload of TV money and should the whole country align in a conference for the basis of a real national championship...let's face it, the SEC has more it could promise on the football field. And if money is the driving force, to hell with academics. That's been the mantra anyway for some time, has it not?

I'm gonna laugh when Notre Dame's high and mighty ass gets left out in the cold.

No in the big ten they would go 8-4 every year by winning 6 games by 3 points or less. Every year MSU, Michigan and Purdue let them off the hook. Just once I would like to see those 3 teams drop the hammer on them.

Right. The Big Ten gets sick and tired of effing with them and everyone scrambles, there's mass chaos and here's the SEC, with one spot......

Given that Missouri is the school that started the Big 12 down the road to destruction by its vocal courting of the Big 10, it wouldn't surprise me if KU, ISU, BU & KSU told the Tigers to go fuck themselves when it came time to band together to find a new home.

I'm starting to think Missouri will be the school that winds up in Conference USA.

If Boise is indeed part of any MWC expansion scenarios then there was no reason to table their invitation on Monday.

For all sports! That's my best bet. They could have avoided this mess. But noooo, the are too good. I hope the Big Ten expands more eats the Big East, takes an ACC team, leads the SEC to pillage the ACC, leaves the Big East in ruins. I want Notre Dame to be stuck without a conference for everything.

Then I want the Big Ten to refuse to play any of their teams in any sport and move in and play their games on NBC. Also I want them to open a catholic church and form a new school called Midwest Catholic. They will have golder helmets and nicer jerseys and they will be called thee Irish.

Boise State probably was and might still be in the Mountain West plans. Then came the Pac-10's announcement that it will expand and the breakup of the Big 12 looks imminent.

Basically girls prettier than Boise State are suddenly up for grabs, and the MWC is waiting to see which ones might be willing to date.

Boise State is attractive to the MWC but Colorado is gorgeous.

They won't be left out in all sports due to the fact that even if the Big East disappears in football there are still enough basketball schools to keep it alive.

And just about all of them are Catholic.

That is one fact people keep forgetting in all this.

Yeah but is there enough money there? How much do St. Johns and Depaul bring in annually?

If they're still playing football on NBC it doesn't matter.

And a basketball league with teams in Chicago, New York, Philly, D.C. and Boston/Providence won't have any trouble getting a TV deal.

I think Boise was tabled for now because if the MWC was serious about only going up to 9 members and Colorado was available, that would be the obvious choice.
