For me, its A-Rod. Dude hit .353 with what 130+ RBIs as a 20 yr old SS? He was spectacular. Then he went and did the steroids/HGH stuff and his 660 HRs became irrelevant. I think he has good things to say on MLB Network but most of the time I see the cloud over his head.

Mary Lou Retton? (with the caveat that we don't know what the hell is going on)

You’re assuming that he started out clean and then got contaminated somehow. What if he was contaminated from the start?

That’s harsh, he was the best player in the game for a short time period before his brain was mush.

Yes, but I'm doubting he was roided up at 20.

O.J. Simpson. Football star, pitchman, actor. Wife abuser, (alleged) murderer.

A very short time period. Two years, maybe three, all at the beginning of his career. By the time he retired, those years were far in the rear view mirror.

I’m not saying that Flyers team should’ve won 10 Cups, but they should’ve done a lot more than reach the Finals once and get swept.

And, to my knowledge, he STILL hasn’t learned to skate with his damn head up.

If anybody could’ve found PEDs and other controlled substances in Miami in 1992-1993, it was absolutely the guy who was a two-sport star at Miami Westminister.
