Bill Belichick, sleazeball

If he got that Browns team to the playoffs, why does he only have two wins? Since, you know, the Pats have lost the last two years in the playoffs. So already your stats are wrong.

And yes, Kosar may have been washed up, but a washed up Bernie is still more than a never-was Todd Philcox. Of course, then Dallas picked up Kosar and won him a Super Bowl. Something Belidick was never going to do.

You are right he should have one more loss on his overall playoff record but he also should have two more wins. It was copied from the Patriots web site, sorry about the mistake. I could have/should have corrected that prior to posting it. My mistake, I am trying to improve thank you for your correction.

the guy's a brick. but he sure as heck can coach.

this is why the dungy-lovie matchup is such a gem. someone who's not a brick is going to prove you don't have to be one to win. what a concept, eh? :D :D :D :D

And Chuck Noll is the only coach in NFL history to win four Super Bowls in six years. Your point?

That Chuck Noll is more of a genius than Coach Hoodie?

Well, he is, but I'm biased as heck on that one.

And Noll could be a brick, too, but he was a brick with class. He could probably teach Coach Hoodie a think or two about football. He could definitely teach him a lot about the proper way to behave.

Belichick's an ass. And I don't buy the genius thing. I saw what he did to the Browns and Kosar.
Belichick did take the browns to the playoffs in 1994. Kosar, needed to be cut as he was no longer a starting QB and secondly it would have taken more then a genius to make the Browns a winner with the owner they had.

# Coach Belichick is the only head coach in NFL history to win three Super Bowls in four years (2001-04).
# Coach Belichick's Patriots teams own all of the major winning streaks in NFL history: consecutive overall wins (21 from 2003-04), consecutive regular season wins (18 from 2003-04) and consecutive playoff wins (10 from 2001-05).
# Coach Belichick is the only NFL head coach to win nine or more games in each of the last five seasons with the same team.
# Coach Belichick's 11-2 playoff record is the second best in NFL history. He trails only the legendary Vince Lombardi, for whom the Super Bowl trophy is named.
# Coach Belichick and Hall of Famer Chuck Noll are the only two NFL head coaches to win 10 post season games over a five-year span.
# With 32 years of NFL coaching experience, Coach Belichick is the longest tenured among active NFL head coaches.
# In 2004, Coach Belichick was named to Time Magazine's list of the 100 Most Powerful and Influential People in the World after winning his second Super Bowl in three seasons.
# Seven former assistants on Coach Belichick's staffs are head coaches in the NFL or college in 2006.

If you are going to lift his official team biography from the Pats verbatim, you should probably credit the source.

Thank you The Big Lead and Boston Herald.

The guy knows defenses. He got incredibly fortunate with 6 round pick Tom Brady. He has won exactly ZERO Super Bowls without his coordinators, Fatty McWeiss and Crennel. He sucked in Cleveland. He apparently spent millions in the pursuit of wrecking this guy's marriage.

He's a very good coach, but please spare me the hagiographic BS. The guy's a social misanthrope, a real sack of dung of a person. Let's not lose sight of that in the fog the Kings, Simmonses, and Halberstams work hard to create.

What is the point, that people who succeed in sports don't always have the highest moral character?

Wow, I have to call O.J. and tell him that.

1,800 phone calls, five per day ... one of the posters on the blog had it right...maybe the Patriots would have won this year's Super Bowl if he had spent more time being the psycho-workaholic coach.

I couldn't give a shirt about his credentials as a coach, because contrary to what Parcells and his greasy disciples (Belichik, Coughlin, Mangini, Payton, etc.) believe, they're not doing anything remotely important in the grand scheme of things. What's important is family and how you take care of your family and behave as a member of your family, and in that regard, Belichik, as we know now, is a total dirtbag piece of slime. He's lucky he did this to a guy who's only dragging him into court and suing him. If he had done this to me -- or I'd wager, if he had done this to 75 percent of the husbands in greater New England, the forker would be short a kneecap, and there wouldn't have been any team secruity goons who could have kept them away from him.
Rant over.

Belichick was a late hit on Bledsoe in 2001 from possibly never being heard from again, at least not as an NFL head coach.

Why are we all taking the gossip mavens from the Boston Herald so seriously? They're like Tom Brady's personal ballwashers. Basically, they kiss Tom's ass and kick Bill's - they'd probably be a lot nicer to Bill if he was able to pull supermodels.
I'm sure Bill's not the greatest husband on earth, but before I classify him as sleaze, I need a little more evidence than the Track Gals have provided (or alleged).

Because I'm bored, I did the math: 1,800 phone calls in a year is equal to nearly five (4.93 actually) phone calls per day, every day.

"I resign as HC of the NYJ"

Real killer ... piece of shirt.

Nice job he did blowing that big lead agianst the Colts.

Overrated ... piece of shirt.

Yeah, what Steve Gutman did was a real forking class act, too, basically saying Belichick deserved to be put in a padded room since he chose not to be Parcells' pawn in the game of Revenge Chess with Bob Kraft.

fork the Jets.

And Parcells, everyone's idol in Jersey, is a forking saint, right? Of course, his "retirement" that was written on the chalkboard solely to block Belichick from getting a better deal in Foxboro was totally above board.

spnited, still love ya, man, but you're way off on this one.

(P.S. These are allegations the soon-to-be ex-husband is making. You wanna believe them 100 percent verbatim? Sure. Let me see the evidence in court. Think he COULD be looking to shake out a bit more coin.)
