True, Spector was involved with both Harrison and Lennon at that time. McCartney felt he didn't need the assistance and could produce Spector-worthy schlock entirely on his own....and he was right! :D

By the guy who sang it at that.

One of these all-time worst lists had "Top of the World" by the Carpenters on it. I actually think that's one of those I'd call a happy, uplifting song. Karen had a hell of a voice.

Worst Christmas song ever: Baby It's Cold Outside.

She did have a fantastic voice, and that's a great song.

So if I don't like a song that other people like, I'm somehow insulting the people who like the song?

    "Loving You" by Minnie Riperton.

Awful doesn't even begin to describe it.

I loved the song and the video.

    I'll contribute Michael Buble. Barf.

Well, when it comes to me, yes. But it's easy to insult me. Jerk.

I'm willing to bet that most of them give to charity as well. But these songs keep money coming in long after the individual donations are gone. The royalties go on for years and not just for sales but for radio play, etc. As a performer who has given my time over and over to fundraising concerts and benefits of all kinds I wouldn't hesitate to get involved in a project like this.

I think you are way off on that one. Give this version a listen.

Never thought of that as a Christmas song. Just a winter one.
