nope, not at all my point. it's one thing for someone to not like a song, or tv show, or movie, or book.

what i'm sniping at are those who attack or mock anyone who admits they like a song by making it personal. maybe i'm getting kinder/gentler in my old age, but there is a difference between saying, 'oh, i can't stand that song,' or 'how can ANYONE like that song or see any value in it when it was OBVIOUSLY just a money grabbing piece of shlock and anyone who doesn't see that is a deaf, dumb and blind moron.'

 

I have to disagree. I love that song.
Also, Ripperton is the mother of SNL alumna Maya Rudolph.
