Bonds HR chase

So we're planning our Barry Bonds love fest for when he ties and then breaks Hank's record. Sometime in late May, early June.

Our graphics department is building a small countdown graphic which we will place on the front sports cover every day he hits a home run.

We're also discussing our plan for when the day comes that he breaks it. I'd like to have a graphic pre-built that highlights Bonds achievements along the way/along with the current milestone. Our photo editor/graphics nazi insists that we run live art rather than a graphic.

What's your take?

Personally I think we can have a graphic for sports and run live art on the A1 but just curious as to what everyone is doing.
