They're not. That's the point. That's why this is nothing more than glorified murder. Obviously each embryo requires a woman's egg in order to be created.

  2. Oh, bullshit.
If you really believe that, and you're just dumb enough to, then you ought to be rounding up the people running the in vitro clinics and throwing them in jail for the act of burning the extras.

Ace, that was my point too. We say this country is a beacon of freedom and choices, yet there are many people intent on not letting others have the same freedoms and choices that they enjoy.

Oh, gee, DyePack posted something else stupid. What in the world can I answer with in reply to counter his rapier wit?

Oh, I get it ... Here you go ....

That's not what this bill was about. What this bill was about was the potential use of the discarded embryos for research purposes.
It isn't a slippery slope. It isn't anything like that, you are trying to create a distraction to avoid the issue.
What the researchers wanted was the trash.
On average, a couple seeking IVF (In-vitro fertilization) will have 10 to 15 eggs fertilized. The backups are kept in case the first one doesn't work, yes, not every fertilized egg becomes a child. The rest are placed in cold storage for future use. If not used, they are destroyed or could be used for research. A fertilized egg isn't by any measureable standard alive.
Both Bill Frist and Orrin Hatch are for this. Does that not resonate?
Or are arguing because you are stupid or just trolling?
The research can make people's lives better. Period.

This is off the subject, too. What would happen if two bible-thumping southern baptists decided to hold a wedding ceremony in downtown Teheran, Damascus or Beirut, and for kicks, screamed about how non Christians are going to burn forever in hell?

They would, of course, be beheaded, after a few days of torture.

Stems cells are extracted from existing, living embryos that are generally a week old and already are made up of dozens or even hundreds of cells. You can call it what you want. It's ending life. There's no argument.

A mass of cells unable to live outside of a woman's body is NOT a life, and it sure as fuck shouldn't be more important than people who are already living.

Not to steal from Legally Blonde, but if you toss off into a towel, aren't you ending the lives of millions of sperm?

    MURDERER!

I assume you don't murder your grass with a lawnmower, either, mr. cell champion.

Trounced, DyePack, Lyman and Twoback (jeez, are they all one in the same?) are for the preservation of life you morons.

Just not the lives of people who disagree with them, or burn the flag, or are gay, or are against the war.

Sorry, dude, I support the use of the embryos for research.

Now go back to blathering your stupid bullshit.
