What is open now (please add if I miss one):

    Tennessee
    Clemson
    Washington
    Kansas State
    Toledo
    Syracuse
    New Mexico
    Utah State

    Probable openings
    Wyoming

Lots of jobs, lots of movement in the forecast. Some Wyoming fans eem to believe the Mizzou OC is a lock for the job.

Urban Meyer seemed resigned to the fact that Charlie Strong and Dan Mullen would have a lot of offers to move on during his press conference today.

The feeling I get is one of them, more likely Strong, moves on to a top job next season.

I'd like to think the Cincinnati job will be opening up shortly.

There is NO EFFING REASON why Charlie Strong should still be a coordinator next season.

There's no way Christensen takes Wyoming. With the James/Pinkel connection, Washington would be intriguing. I hope he doesn't leave, but this would be the time.

You're right. I think the only reason he will be is if the job offers he gets aren't jobs he wants, or if he doesn't want to be a head man.

And I'd expect him to get a lot of good offers, hence my previous assertion.

I hadn't heard about Rocky Long at New Mexico - a bit of a surprise one season removed from a 9-4 year. Guess he wasn't hearing what he wanted about a new contract.
Would the Lobos bring back Dennis Franchione? And I know Terry Bowden is looking to make a comeback. John L. Smith, Glen Mason and Gary Barnett are out there.

    I think Venables takes K-State.

I've heard two names who are the serious candidates from some pretty good sources.....and he isn't one of them.

    One I wouldn't mind, the other I'm dead-set against.

He's also interviewed with Climpson. I suppose there are plusses and minuses to each of the jobs.

Selfishly, I hope OU locks up Venables with a hefty pay rise.

This may be way off-base, but I've heard that the only reason Strong hasn't gotten a head coaching job before now, at least in the South, is that his wife is white. Some old-timer ADs and board members aren't comfortable with that sort of thing ...
