    We are looking for a multi-platform copy editor here at the Houston Chronicle. Details below.

    Job description: Give a final edit to priority news stories, and write or edit headlines, cutlines and subheads that are appropriate for print and the web. Editors will publish finished content across multiple platforms, including but not limited to paginating for print, and posting for mobile, Ipads, websites and e-editions. Curate packages of content for print and or the web, when appropriate.

    Job Requirements: Excellent word editing and headline-crafting skills. Must be adept at using both print and web publishing systems, and understand the difference between headlines that work in print and on the web. Comfort and flexibility at working between systems and platforms a must. Must be able to master AP style book.

    Education: Four-year college degree required.
