Several outlets reporting that Junk Jones might soon be a Marlin. According to Rosenthal, the last hurdle is how much money the Cubs will send to the Fish. I don't care what it takes ... GET RID OF HIM! Addition by subtraction.

From the Things I Never Thought I'd See department:

Charlie Manuel calls for delayed double steal with a catcher at 3rd base. And it works to perfection.

Brewers up 2-0 on a Braun homer in the first. Will these fuckers ever lose?

Well, the Royals did just beat them Sunday.

I like this line-up the Phils have with Bourn hitting second and Victorino batting sixth. I like A-LOT.

Man, those Cubs fans are psychos. Wrigley is not a safe place.

Update from the Hammer Pants Was Right Department ... Salty started at first tonight and has two home runs.

And the Mets' offense has six hits in the past 19 innings against these pitchers...

    Todd Wellemeyer
    Troy Cate
    Russ Springer
    Mike Maroth
    Ryan Franklin

At least three of the hits were homers...

Matt Holliday just got a nice beer shower in left field at Wrigley. Maybe Pallister was right ...

Sadly, that was the hardest the Royals hit ANYTHING that season.

It's amazing what happens when you take a Thorman out of your lineup and add a Salty ... It's not like Salty will forget how to catch while playing some first base, and they obviously had to make some changes. Look at Escobar playing second, too ... They've got to get their best hitters in the lineup every day, especially on days when Smoltz and Hudson aren't on the mound.

The problems Chuck James has later in his starts also has to be a huge concern. Dude might have to be a long reliever.
