Right. I don't mind Cook, aside from the FOX spots, but he didn't reel me in with anything but his interaction with Jake, where he ran through the crowd to hug him. I'll give it my undivided attention soon. But tonight, it missed the target.

 

I laughed, only because it was sooo fucking stupid.

Right now, I'm watching the Triumph Star Wars bit for about the 6,000,000 time. It's much funnier.

This joke-stealing thing is really not the end of the world.

Twice in the past month, I've heard the same joke by two different comedians during the same drive while listening to XM Comedy.

It happens all the time.

 

I'm amazed Jeff Dunham hit No. 1 on that countdown. It took me a while to warm up to him, but he's outstanding. I'm further amazed that guys like Demetri Martin, Jim Gaffigan and Pablo Francisco were able to beat Cook (who was something like No. 14).

I still have faith in humanity.

 

Demetri Martin's not bad from the little I've heard.

Jim Gaffigan makes me cringe.

 

I think Gaffigan is great, but that's just me.

Obviously it's not literally the end of the world, but how is that not a big deal? In what other walk of life is plagiarism not a big deal? How does frequency equal justification?

If there's one thing that pisses me off, it's hack comedians. Maybe it's because I tend to equate humor and intelligence.
