Does anyone still think Manning is better than Brady?

Manning v Brady debates. The land of a thousand hot takes, each one hotter than the previous. Mostly involving people not named Manning or Brady.

I think even Peyton's wife would admit Brady is better.

Only the players involved can credibly debate and discuss the sport.

I don't get why people like to shit on Manning. Unless I've missed it he has not really done anything to
have people dislike him. He's not a self promoter, has done nothing to discredit the game , and seems to
work his ass off to get better.

It makes you wonder how Luck and Wilson will be viewed 10 years down the road. They both seem really grounded.

You missed the point. I meant the debate usually ends up on Dungy, or some supporting cast and which one had the better, etc. Not that only Brady or Manning could credibly debate the topic at hand.

But I'm dying to hear your opinion!

Agree about Luck. Disagree about Wilson.

The only real mark against Manning is his lack of success in the postseason. He's a good guy. Everybody seems to like him. He works hard, but he was only able to win one SB, which doesn't follow that narrative of someone who is supposed to be the best QB in NFL history.

You could say the same thing about the Patriots.
Based solely on on-field skills, Manning probably has an edge on Brady, provided he retires ASAP and doesn't go out there looking like a cripple.
But Brady has that extra off-field stuff that Manning doesn't. After Denver's loss, I read a couple stories that talked about how Manning isolates himself and isn't really a rah-rah team guy. It's not that they hate him, but he has a crew of friends and family he brings in for games and spends most of his time with coaches without getting with his teammates.
Brady's managed to avoid that. His teammates love him. While Manning is hilarious on commercial and SNL, Brady seems to get his ball busted by his teammates because he's fun to make fun of - the no high-fives, cracking jokes about his stupid commercials, making fun of his marriage; his teammates love him because he plays hard but he doesn't play like he's better than anyone.
That goes a long way and I think that's why he's better.
Who's been better under pressure? Brady. When his team suffers a bad loss, which QB throws his team under the bus? Manning (after the Welker drop in the Super Bowl, it wasn't Brady badmouthing him - it was Giselle, which Brady probably didn't appreciate).
Those off-the-field things make a difference and it's why you take a guy like Brady over Manning.

Well, I'm dying to know your prior handle.

I've said this here before, but to me Manning's Colts were the NFL version of the Braves. Right there every year, just enough to lose every time, except the one time they faced a team so ill equipped to win, they just had to win a title to avoid being Buffalo. If you're banking on Rex Grossman or Charles Nagy to lead your team, you're unlikely to be involved in many parades. If Buffalo or the Reeves Denver teams had ever gotten to face a team like the Charger or Falcon or Kerry Collins' Giants etc. SB teams, they also would have been champions.

But your judgment is rendered based on 2nd hand anecdotal stories through the media. Maybe Brady has has move favorable
    media covering him.

Comparison has a bit of a Russell / Chamberlin quality to it. Both great but on a team level Russell succeeded to a much greater degree.

Did the Colts beat the shitty 13-3 Bears in the AFC title game that year, too?
