Draft positions

    Anyone know where I can find how many players drafted in certain rounds are playing in the big leagues today? I'm doing a story about a guy drafted on the second day and how hard it is for someone like that to make it to the bigs. Without looking at all 750 players' profiles, any idea where I can find this info?

    I would imagine BaseballAmerica.com has a pretty extensive database on this.

    May also want to check baseballreference.com

    Off the top of my head, Piazza was like a 62nd round pick, and Junior Spivey was taken in the 36th round. I can't think of many other big leaguers right now ...
