Filing taxes - which software do you use?

    Same. Super easy this year since I've backed off on freelancing and don't have any 1099s to deal with.

    I've used H&R Block online for many years, because I can get my federal return for free. There are a lot of sites/programs available through the IRS if your income is below $66,000.

    I think I paid like $8 last year to transfer my data to a state return and process that online too. But I've also filed and printed the federal return and done the state paperwork by hand.

    I was all set to give H&R Block a go, but you have to be between 17-50 to file for free. What the fuck kind of qualifier is that?

    $23 back, baby (counting fed and state).

    Sure beats the $500 hole I thought I was going to step into.

    I'm waiting for two forms but am in a four-digit hole. I don't know how that happened. I got a modest refund last year.
