Maybe she could do it with the same scowl of disapproval every time she listens to the song.

  2. In precise terms, how is the military being gutted, and how does it affect the country's defense capability?

Rushbo has sold the fiction that when budgets are cut, there is just so damn much waste that no one will feel a thing. Are there cuttable items that might have minimal impact? Yeah, probably. But the Republican sale of painless budget-cutting is built on the idea that only Other People will feel it. And that's not the case when you're chopping $85 billion right away.

You know why Boehner and McConnell want Obama to propose all the cuts? Because for all their budget-cutting bluster, they don't want to have to explain to the folks back home, even the Tea Party folks, why they're going after such a necessary program. They want to be known as budget cutters, but they don't want the blood on their hands from what actually gets cut.

if we shut down the Afghanistan war on Saturday's and Sundays we could probably keep all the other programs going that will be gutted in the sequester.

Imagine what we'd save if we shut it down all the way.

We would not need the sequester and granny could get her hot meals and interstate rest areas would be stocked with toilet paper.

Maybe we can get rid of the what was it, $30,000 screw driver and other ridiculous expenses first?

Maybe we can hold out hope that even mildly virtuous people run for office.
    Instead of the same dopes,
    serial philanderers,
closet homosexuals who pretend to be deeply offended by other people's homosexuality,
knuckleheads who see socialists in every cloud,
    science-deniers,
    young-earth creationists,
career glad-handers on the take (and in the back pocket of big dollar donors),
    and all other assorted turds.

Your Republican candidate for Illinois's open Congressional seat ...

It's Paul McKinley, who served 20 years in prison for armed roberry!

Sorry, but this was too good to leave in the political ghetto, no?

McKinley will challenge Michael Bloomberg in the general election in April.
