Bronn: a likable side character without a single stitch of obvious plot armor. I thought for sure he was going to bite it last night.

Also - I'm pretty sure yesterday's episode was one of the best of the entire series.

I thought they were going to kill Tyrion in the last episode, when he was watching the battle and the Dothraki guy said, "Your people don't know how to fight" or something like that.

I see either: a) Cersei killing him or b) Dany killing him after he is revealed as a mole (although I don't see his motivation)

I've also had this thought, and the internet would explode. But they could have been hinting at that in the last episode, when he was having a hard time watching his people get slaughtered. Maybe he betrays Dany and costs her another huge battle. She finds and and feed him to the dragons. It isn't that far out of reach for how the show is going.

Same here, totally thought Tyrion was going to bite it. But I think he was told just the opposite that they were fighting well.

That aside, I know Jaime isn't dead but I wish they weren't going the Glen under the dumpster route here. If you see someone sink into the abyss they should be dead not pulled out by some deus ex machina force.

First of all, what an excellent episode. I'm going to have to re-watch it again tonight to process everything.

That final battle scene and cliffhanger may have been the best in the entire series. So many "Oh shit!" moments in that one episode.

My only problem with the episode was probably the whole Catspaw dagger reveal and subsequent "I don't want it, you can have it" from Bran. I was hoping there'd be a cooler story in how Arya got the dagger, like she killed Littlefinger and claimed it as a prize.

But other than that very tiny issue, the rest of the episode was great.

Jaime has to survive that right? But how? Unless there is some tunnel in that puddle that will lead to a safe area, I can't see how Dany isn't waiting for him to surface so she can burn his ass.

Also, my hatred of Bran continues unabated.

Aside from his show-halting delivery, his abilities feel like a cheap story-telling device. He can drop all the knowledge that his family and other characters are missing at any time. It is just up to the writers to decide when that is most convenient. Personally, I'd be fine with Jon Snow never knowing that he is a Stargaryean. The only reason we know is because of Bran's flashbacks, which at first just felt like fan service.

If Jaime was going to die, he'd have just been roasted by the dragon, not saved at the last second and then drowned. I'm thinking maybe Bronn drowns trying to save him from the water.

As for Tyrion, you may be onto something between him and Dany. Maybe his being fed to the dragons is how we find out he's a Targaryen (as is a popular bookreader theory not backed up by anything all that concrete).

My final prediction: ends with Mark Addy waking up Jami Gertz and saying, "I just had the weirdest dream."

Jaime *should* not survive. Going into deep water in heavy armor with only one hand? Getting into armor on dry land *with help* takes a good while. Maybe if you're cutting all the straps you can get out faster, but still. Bron wears very little armor, so he'd have to work just to get down to Jaime. I would also think that if he surfaces Dany (or the dragon) would scrag him fast. That would be a big death, and would monkeywrench a lot of potential fannish plotlines. I think he makes it, though. A captured Jamie standing in front of Dany after trying to run her through might be very interesting.

Watching Jaime's lance charge again, his horse runs through the shallows, but when he's tackled off they travel ten feet, or even charitably fifteen from the edge. The water shouldn't be that deep that fast. That felt very wrong.

I think Bran is safe for a while, annoying or not. He's too useful a plot device, and besides he's going to be involved with the Night King again at some point. The White Walkers are overdue for an appearance this season. I think that at some point he wargs into one of the dragons... He might even warg into the Night King in order to get him killed, but I think he'd have to stay inside and hold him to do it, which likely kills Bran. Does he teach Jon to warg? Does Arya kill the Night King with her Valyrian dagger knowing Jon (or Bran) is inside him, holding him for her?

As to impending major deaths, Tyrion could get killed off, and yes, the internet would shit itself. I think that Jon Snow is a candidate, putting the Mantle of the North on Sansa permanently. Littlefinger might kill Sansa, but damned if I know why he would do that, what his play would be. If Cersei dies this season, which seems unlikely, I'd look for it in the next to last episode. Arya could make a mistake at the wrong time and get cut down. She's quick and pretty skilled now, but a big swing with a broadsword would kill her fast. Size, armor, and muscle goes a long way if it is not a contained single combat. If she gets caught up in a melee like last night's, all it would take is looking the wrong way for a second. If Targaryon blood lets Jon and Tyrion ride dragons, either of them could die in combat.

I'm betting that all of Arya's list winds up dead one way or the other, with the possible exception of the Hound.

I think the faceless man (to lazy to look up his name) is still in play to come and try to finish off arya. I have been watching for anyone lurking in the background at winterfell, who may have surmised she would get their eventually. Not sure if that person succeeds, or is about to succeed when the hound or Sansa saves the day. Anyway, Jesus is still out there and he is coming for arya one way or another.
