    You kidding? They got their asses kicked after that speech! It took the cross dressing GM to save the season at intermission.

    (Now that I think about it, Joe McGrath’s motivation for the fashion show may not have been purely financial.)

    James Earl Jones' "baseball" soliloquy is the gold standard for me.

    Also, two from Band of Brothers: The German officer addressing his surrendered troops, translated by Joe Leibgot, and the simple "You've done enough" line by the officer turning down Winters' request to join the Japan invasion forces.

    Two "standards" in my book.



    The "big speech" in front of a courtroom is such a standard movie trope. (See Scent of a Woman), but this one is classic.
