    Haven't looked into it, but word is Brett Favre buddy Chris Havel has been canned.

    Can't find a link, but I can say this is pretty credible info. Not sure the reason ... only thing perhaps is some big whig there was just looking for a reason and he apparently got it.

    I'll go ahead and confirm this one. It went down last week. Details still sketchy on the "official" reason, but he is definitely gone.

    This confirms that Brett Favre will retire.

    (Inside joke explanation for non-Cheeseheads: Havel has been widely criticized as a Favre worshipper apologist. I don't read the Press-Gazette, so I don't know whether that's fair.)

    From what I hear, Havel took time off for an injury without technically getting permission. But then he showed up to work for his radio gig the next day from what I've heard.
