Some good songs with "Jump" in the title:

    1) Van Halen (Diamond Dave edition) with "Jump"

    2) Pointer Sisters with "Jump (For My Love)

    3) House of Pain with "Jump Around"

    4) Kris Kross with "Jump"

    So what is your ranking?

    I go 1-3-2-4

"Jump, Jive an' Wail," "Jump in the Fire" and "No Jumper Cables" are better than any of those.

Van Halen's Jump is a great song.

The Pointer Sisters' "Jump" came out about the same time as the Van Halen song. Then their follow-up hit was "Automatic," so I in my young brain figured the Pointers were just stealing song titles.

That was problematic for me as well. Have never been able to separate them.

Van Halen were heroes to most, but they never meant shit to me.
