It's a great day in the Mr. & Mrs. Micro house, Micro Jr. just got his first full-time job offer, complete with a living wage and benefits from the state. He'll be able to stay in his current city, which he loves, start his career, and move to Denver's Capitol Hill neighborhood with friends.

He was stressing, as DU graduation is May 21. I think I'm happier today than when I got my first full-time post-graduation job in 1976.

Just wanted to share our great mood with everyone here in the extended sj.com family and pay it forward. Best wishes for a great day to everyone!!! If I could fetch beers for the house I would.

 

Yeah, he's excited. He was on Asbury right off University the last three years, about 100 feet from the law school (and from the Pio and the Cardinal & Gold) so that was perfect.

We're happy too, we like to visit Denver and he's close to the family conclave in Wyoming.

 

Clerking for a district court judge, so someplace in that general area.

Congrats. I take it that you did not suggest that he go into journalism.

 

Ha, no, he saw what my life was like until I left the newspaper business. He does love to write, though, stuff like legal briefs, etc.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I'd be interested to keep this thread going as a place where people can share good news of things happening in their lives with the SJ.com family. I'm sure my family isn't the only one with good news to celebrate. There are plenty of bad-news threads here.
