The way things are going in TV, I would guess this will become more and more common over time.

No one on this thread had contested the idea of picking McConaughey over Cranston. What has been contested is you using the term "far better".

And I said it was my opinion.

What on Earth is so hard for you to understand about that other than you wantonly deciding to be an ass for the hell of it?

It's a message board, and challenging each other's opinions is how good discussions are created. If you state an opinion like that, you should be able to back it up with some reasoning as to why McConaughey is so much better.

Well, for one he's playing a fresh character.
    Two, he's a better actor.
Three, I'm not one for giving someone an award based on past performances. I thought Cranston was much stronger in past BB seasons. Didn't think he was that great this go around. I thought Aaron Paul gave a better performance than Cranston, but if I'm not mistaken that'll get pushed to Supporting Actor right?

It's not that he's being pushed there because they're saying one is better. Jesse's character has always been in support of Walt so it makes sense that he's up for Supporting Actor.

As for the rest of your points, you did nothing to back up for prior assertion. I can see this will be like banging my head against a wall, so I'm out.

Enjoyed all but the last five minutes.

Not only was it highly unlikely that Rust would live after losing that much blood, but it was really unnecessary given that he won't be back next season.

A quick survey says a bunch of tv critics have their panties in a bunch.

They appear to have been expecting something they didn't get.

Which TV critics? Alan Sepinwall and The AV Club's Erik Adams had mostly praise.

I liked it a lot. I'll definitely remember these eight episodes.
