From the 'I didn't know he was in that" file: The sheriff of Iberia Parish is Roberts, the dirty cop from the first couple seasons of NYPD Blue.

 

He was also Steve the Drunk in Deadwood.

 

Let's see, that makes a Deadwood, Boardwalk Empire (Eli Thompson) and two Wire (Brother Mouzone and Spiros Vondas) sightings. Any other HBO retreads?

 

Clarke Peters (The Wire/Treme) was in as a minister as well.

 

You never saw the immortal Barry Horowitz?!

 

The casting director for this series is Alexa Fogel, who was also casting director for The Wire and Treme.

 

The last time I paid attention to pro wrestling Bob Backlund was defending his WWF title against King Kong Mosca.

 

Lester Freamon was in True Detective? I don't know how I missed that.

 

Isiah Whitlock, er, Clay Davis, tweeted out he'll be appearing on Veep this season.

 

One scene in Episode 2, I think.
