I'm with ya, Fuerte, just a jam-packed episode. Fantastic.

I probably could have enjoyed a few more episodes of the future...

BTW - any speculation on where Lindeman was this episode? I don't remember even a mention of the show's "Magneto"

  4. Summary, please, for those of us who were at the gym.

Agreed. Maybe they'll figure out a way to go back to it at some point. The fact that we never saw some of the other characters mentioned makes me think they will revisit this particular timeline.

For most of the show, I was thinking it was the most predictable episode of the show yet, not that I minded. Even just that was fun. Then we get the big reveal by "President Petrelli" and I was impressed all over again.

    Great...fucking...show

Older Bro Petrilli is president and starts in with "Plan B" to handle the mutants - namely extermination. Dr. Suresh (?) has been trying to come up with a cure and isn't too happy about genocide.
The Haitian and the MindReader are both working for Petrelli the Prez.

Hiro tells Future Hiro (some great moments early in this episode - "I scare me") that they saved the Cheerleader. MindReader comes in and captures present-time Hiro as Future Hiro and Ando go to Las Vegas where they run into Peter Petrilli and Nicki/Jessica, who is no longer bi-polar, but is dating Peter. Future Hiro gets no help, so he turns to Bennett, tells Bennett that Claire is alive. Of course, Bennett already knows this, tells Claire to hide. Seems Bennett has been running a mutant relocation program of sorts.
Claire heads to NY to see Daddy Petrelli the Prez. Except Prez seems to be acting more and more strange and dark. And then the kicker - the prez is a shape-shifting Sylar, who starts cutting Claire's head.
Pres gives a memorial speech for the victims of the Big Bang on the five-year anniversary while Suresh is supposed to give present day Hiro ye old lethal injection, as Future Hiro, Ando and Peter Petrilli attempt a rescue mission. Suresh takes the needle and - wham - straight into the jugular of the Haitian.
Peter and Sylar meet in the hall and commence battle while present day hiro and ando head back to their timeline.

I may have forgotten a few things. I don't know.
It's certainly an episode that deserves another viewing.

That covered a lot of it. Left out some of the stuff you just have to see. Ali Larter stripping. Peter Petrelli fighting with his more-developed powers.

I wondered what happened to Linderman, too. The more I think about it, the more I expect them to go back and revisit this potential future again.

Goddamn fucking TiVo! What happened in the last minute or so. I saw Hiro go back to his own time, and it cut out five seconds later. Did anything happen after that?

I am only halfway through the episode and one thing about the future that I have learned. . . the cheerleader is hot as a brunette.

Of course, in the current timeline she is 16 or 17 which means in this episode, she is 21-22. That makes it okay to ogle </faulty lpgic>

No, you pretty much hit all the pertinent facts.

TheGoodDoctor, you didn't really miss anything. The very end has Hiro and Ando back in NY, on top of the building with everything back to normal. Hiro takes out the comic of, I think, him killing Sylar and proclaims, "Now the hard part".

    Awesome episode.

Three more episodes to go and I can't wait to see how this is resolved. There are so many twists and turns that I am totally hooked.

It is so unlike Lost where I have no idea what is going on most of the time.

Linderman was mentioned once as the naming rights holder of the type of Patriot Act that allowed the US to act as Gestapos.
