It appears that John Lewis is ready to endorse Obama. That will break the dam. Of course Lewis is trying to save his own hide since majority of his district voted for Obama in primary.

When the Clintons do their post mortem they will see that their actions in South Carolina did Hillary in.

Good to see something good coming from a state which historically has seemed to respond with the basest political reflexes in the American psyche.

If Hillary goes down here, I have a feeling she's going to take the Democratic Party - Obama's presidential chances included - with her.

If she does, she'll be widely reviled.

    Does she give a shit?

I'm fascinated to see how the Clintons handle this... How much they'll fight and how dirty they'll fight.

The dirtier, actually the better it could be for Obama. You want a lot of people disgusted with the Clintons. That way folks start to think they're making the proper, moral choice.

I heard Bob Shrum put out an interesting thought. He said Al Gore could be called in to broker a deal with regard to Michigan and Florida and to get Hil out of the race.

He hasn't endorsed, he's got the juice, and he has "mess in Florida" experience.

The whole thing is funny as hell. You can just see the indignation on her face because Obama had the audacity to step in and interrupt her cornonation march to the nomination. She believed she was entitled to the nomination, that it was her turn, her reward. And she and her supporters are shocked that someone had better ideas and tons more charisma and appeal.

And I'm also sure she's pissed off because the timing has been interrupted. In Clinton World, Obama would go away, with a nice pat on the head, and be told: "you're young ... come back in eight years and you can be the heir apparent."

There's no way Hillary runs in eight years, if Obama wins the presidency. This was her time, and she's cooked, and she's pissed.

Begala & Carville have to hate this. Without a relevant Bill & Hillary, they become just a couple of has-beens.
