Swell. I got my daughter season tickets to Bama gymnastics, which means we get to watch the testosterone carnival come to town next month. And on Title IX Appreciation Night no less.

Aesthetically, they're not wrong.

But Brian Kelly could do a great service to humanity to deputize about 25 of his redshirts to go to the next meet and stomp these fuckers into the floorboards.

 

There were a couple of girls I was really hot for in 10th grade or so. They were both gymnasts and divers, both of them. Tiny, nubile, and oh so flexible. Entirely appropriate sentiments at the time that sound terribly "dirty old man" now.

 

Maybe the Olympics should add this event to the gymnastics program:

Shrug. Considering the audience, and that my memories are no threat to nubile little girls now, sure, what the hell.

 

To be fair - it isn't like the sport itself doesn't sexualize the athletes, with what they wear, the make-up, etc. They could easily wear shorts and tank tops - like they do when they practice. Something closer to this.

Saw the headline and figured the obnoxious dopes in question were LSU students. Wouldn't have occurred to me they were from Utah and knew the gymnast solely from IG and Tik Tok.

I covered Div. I women's gymnastics for years and the meets were in the university's basketball arena and hardly anyone ever showed up. Now, things like this incident.....
