How many meals a week do you eat out?

Piggybacking off the fast food thread...

Seems many on the board eat out quite a bit, or did at one time. During my college years, I killed time twice a week between internship and classes at a local restaurant called the Mill Bakery, Eatery and Brewery. Sadly, it's gone now, but it's not all bad news - it's now the site of a Chick Fil-A.

Anyway, I've never been a huge go-out-to-eat fan but some folks are for sure. My mom hasn't eaten a lunch at home in years.

When I'm at home, I make a point to eat at Chick, Cracker Barrel (breakfast) and Zaxby's, plus a couple local places.

How often do you dine out? Are you a regular? What meals do you eat out? And do you use a tip calculator? :)

Check the autograph thread. I eat out with great regularity. It's how I stay married.

    Every day.

My one real meal of the day is at a restaurant of some ilk. I'm fortunate to live in an area with a thousand choices.

I have a core group of 10-12 places in rotation, but on Sundays it's always the same meal at the same place. I have eaten there pretty much every Sunday for 8+ years.

I tip on the high side, if I am eating somewhere that is conducive to tips. I tip at Sonic. At our Mexican place we tip 30%+.

I don't eat anywhere that would run higher than about $25 a person, usually more like $15 each.

Sit down places? Maybe once a week, usually lunch on Friday with my wife since she has Fridays off.
Semi-fast food (aka Fast Casual)? Maybe once or twice a week for lunch. Usually a local deli that has a drive through or else Panda Express or another local Chinese place that has a drive through as well.
Dinner is usually home cooked and the rest of the lunches each week are leftovers of that.
I'm not a breakfast fan, just coffee each morning. My wife and kid make pancakes usually on the weekends and I'll grab a few if I feel inclined.

So I guess about 3 out of apx. 16 meals

I eat at home on weekends quite a bit. On weekdays, breakfast and lunch are usually at my desk (sometimes the pub around the corner) and at night I generally just have a light nutritious snack rather than a traditional dinner.

Too many. Probably lunch 4 workdays (when the company is not ordering in), plus both weekend days (gotta get out of the house with the kids). For dinner, about 3-5.

Same here sans the kids. For a long time there was no fridge and no microwave at work so I didn't brown bag it and there's a couple of good sandwich shops in town which just became easier. Now I have a fridge and a microwave but I haven't broken the habit of leaving the office for lunch.

Days where I have a late game actually helps because I eat at home before coming to work and I'm good to go until dinner where I'll wait until I get home. Summers suck hard because there just isn't enough to do that allows me to leave the office regularly so I have to go out for lunch otherwise I'll spend 9 hours in my seat. I can only go to so many practices.

I eat lunch out almost every day bc I work in a high rise in NYC and can't stand being stuck inside all day. Even if I do bring lunch, I eat at my desk and then go for a 30 minute walk. Sometimes I'll just walk the passages and stairs at Grand Central, like when it's cold, just to get out.

Dinner, probably twice a week with my gf. Then at least one good day a week of drinking. I think of it all as a reward for commuting 90 minutes both ways each day on the train.

Company provides lunch every day. Probably eat out for dinner 2-3 per week. Weekends: It's up in the air. Probably 2 times.

    Don't eat breakfast.

That's a commute. My first two years in my current job I commuted from New Haven to GCT. Now I have a 25-minute train ride.

It's a grind, especially when you get home at 730 and you can only see your daughter (who is 9) for like an hour and a half before she has to go to bed. If I was merely shuttling between the office and home without occasionally getting drinks or a good meal, well, I wouldn't.
