Down to $1.88 by my house, but saw as low as $1.86 in town running errands.

Here in the land of magic and fantasy (around the corner from Walt Disney World), gas dropped a dime overnight and we fell below the $2 mark. Like everyone else, I guess, I wish I had a way to store a thousand gallons.

You should look into getting a prepaid gas card. I don't know much about them, but it appears after a quick look online that some brands offer them and you might be able to lock in a good rate. You may have to shell out, but it could be worth it.

Looks like the market has settled down into a new equilibrium. Been a couple of weeks since any significant drop around me, but at $1.67 we were probably ahead of the curve.

Finally down below $2 in my little corner of Northern Virginia.

Research i did indicated that they're just gift cards. You can put up to $300 on them, but obviously if fuel prices rise, that $300 buys less.

I filled up for $17 last week. It's up slightly to 1.85 now, but that was the first time I spent less than $20 to fill my car since I was in high school.

The price of gas shot up literally overnight here on the grandest prairie of them all.

Monday night, I filled up at $1.67 (actually, $1.57 with a Kroger discount), and most stations were at $1.74 and $1.75. The next morning, all of those places were at $1.89. I saw a $1.92 last night.

Same here. QuikTrip is always the first to go up, so as soon as I saw $1.89 I was able to go elsewhere and get one more tank of $1.67.

On Saturday gas prices jumped 24¢ overnight from 1.919 to 2.159 in DuPage County (the western suburbs of Chicago). Then they dropped 2¢ on Sunday to $2.139.

This is the same tactic the gas stations seem to run around here all the time. Price increases are always in double figures, then they 'drop' a couple of cents a gallon every few days until the make another double figure jump again. Bastards.

Gaming the system at the refinery choke point. Oldest trick in the book.

Crude hasn't bounced off the bottom and neither has spot gasoline. Time for the refiners to make their nut in certain regions and have an "Ooops ... outage."
