I just got an iPhone 8. Problem is, all my transferred apps are grayed out and read either "Waiting" or "Loading," other than the ones like Photos and Music that come with the phone. Nothing has happened for well over an hour now.

    What's the deal?

@HC has Birkenstocks and toe rings available for a trip to the Apple Store.

Can't have the bra, though. I'm wearing that today.

Figured it out. I just had to get to somewhere with wifi. I sat in Starbucks for a while and they started downloading, running app included. (Which was most urgent.)

You'll note that I have assiduously avoided discussion of such.

Whether I’m a runner or a jogger will be determined on Nov. 4.

But really that and the music app are he ones I actually need.

Whatever the classification, you're pounding your femur into your tibia on a regular basis using sneakers ill-designed to absorb the impact. All old runners look the same: like someone who should be chanting "prescious" while looking for the one ring.

    That’s a myth.

I am definitely retiring from 26.2 once I do Boston, though.

    70+ a week drains you.

What's a myth? That running is bad for you? It's fine if you run barefoot and akin to a deer with the pressure on the toes. But sneakers aren't built that way. They are designed in a way that puts pressure on the heel and up through the leg in a way that was never intended. That's my understanding.

    Good luck in Boston.

Nov 4? That's the day before the NYC marathon. If you run the NYC, I'll get you a few beers. Cousin and her husband are running this year.
