  1. Um, Songbird, I can only hope you're being really clever there and know precisely what movie that was.

I'd never seen the movie. So no, I don't know.

  4. So the answer to this is a general war in the Middle East, with the mighty IDF rolling through Lebanon, Syria and Iran? Maybe with United States troops?
    You guys and what army?

Mr. Songbird, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

There was a point to the post, Mr. PopeDirkBenedict: that everything in this room is incoherent psycho-babble.

Has someone not had their orange juice this morning?

And to paraphrase something that is apropos to this thread:

Spain was an Islamic county in the middle ages, if an Islamic force invaded Spain and claimed it had a right to the land because of historical and religious reasons and subjugated and expelled the native Spaniards, would we be defending their right to exist and their right to defend themselves?

  9. Spain was an Islamic country for a couple hundred years during the Middle Ages. Israel was a Jewish land back when the Egyptians were running things.

I better go eat my Wheaties and come back to this thread later.

The original sentiment is the same: a girl in a hamhock costume walking through the woods is a funny sight.

The parallel to Israel-Leba-nin is, indeed, psycho-babble and was meant to shed humor here. But the attempt was, at best, as PDB delivered so eloquently, idiotic.

This isn't going to affect our shared love for the Simpsons, is it?

Affect our shared love for the Simpsons? That's unpossible!
