Jerry Jones threatens to go scorched earth on Goodell, owners

If Goodell sticks with Zeke's suspension, Jones is going to make his life hell. If Goodell backs down, the whole world sees him having his balls cut off.

I love it no matter how it turns out.

Jerry Jones Is Said to Hire David Boies to Block Roger Goodell’s Contract

Jones said in a conference call last Thursday with the six owners — those of the Chiefs, Falcons, Giants, Patriots, Steelers and Texans — that legal papers were drawn up and would be served this Friday if the committee did not scrap or delay its current plans to extend Goodell’s contract.

 

Billionaire asshole fight! Both of them suck. Hopefully both will end up looking bad (worse)?

 

Glad to see Boies is quickly back on his feet after getting canned by the Times.

 

I’m sure Goodell has lawyered up with his own high-tone ambulance chaser.

Jones isn't just going after Goodell. He's talking about suing his fellow owners and this time it isn't about his team's piece of the pie. As much as I would enjoy seeing Goodell replaced, the committee should tell Jones to stick his legal briefs right up his boxers. If an owner can sue the entire league just because the commissioner disciplined one of his players, the league office becomes a joke.

It still has power, so it may be the well -deserving butt of many jokes, but it is still viable.

 

Some Democratic operative on twitter made the point that is Jones sure Boies isn't working for Goodell as well.
