John Skipper Reveals . . .

    Two things.

Why lie about the cocaine? Is resigning over a drug habit somehow better for Disney than some other kind of scandal?

And Skipper could very easily have hurt his wife and family simply by lying about his cocaine use - especially if he had gotten clean before and promised not to use again.

He doesn’t need to be having an affair to apologize to his wife.

    INT. SONGBIRD'S LIVING ROOM. NIGHT.

His girlfriend comes into the room. She looks like she's had a bad day.

SONGBIRD'S GIRLFRIEND: Babe, I'm really sorry.

SONGBIRD: You fucked a male prostitute?

SONGBIRD'S GIRLFRIEND: Um, no? I just had a cigarette. I promised I'd quit. I'm sorry.

SONGBIRD: Sorry specifically to me? Right. So, in other words, you fucked some whores.

    Exactly, babe.

So ... I sure hope this unknown extortionist coke dealer doesn't rise up and unzip Skipper's story.

The one time he buys from an unknown dealer is the time his 8 million dollar a year job goes kaput.

What a coincidence. And several months later there hasn't been a peep from the dealer, who's an extortionist.

And there's also Portnoy's gleeful celebration: "If you cross us, you will go down and you will go down hard" ...

This story is definitely heading for a great conclusion.

Seriously??? You don't think he will get more empathy/sympathy if he says he has a drug problem and needs rehab?
You know a lot of examples of womanizers who said they had a problem and went to rehab? Would be interested to hear
    of any.

Not to sound like a dick, but some people here sound a tad bit naive.

Maybe we're just too cynical. I'm sure the coke dealers in Central Park will be blackmailing and extorting
several other corporate executives pretty soon. Can't wait to read about it.

Saying you don't think something happened and you don't know something happened are two different things. I don't know what happened. That doesn't give me license to speculate wildly about someone's private struggles. Or at least I don't think it does. This board serves as a daily reminder that we all draw our lines in different places. That's life.

I'm not speculating wildly. I'm saying if this guy resigned because a coke dealer was going to out him it's just kind of hard to believe. Also saying I know people who worked at the WWL
who talked about this guy. If I dig through old emails (if it didn't delete it) Ican find one from a friend who said he "went to a 'rub and tug' place" with Skipper. I wasn't there and I don't have video evidence, but I remember reading that email. Also remember talking about Skipper with some other people who worked at the WWL, Yeah, people talk and people especially talk when they think they
should have more than they have. Again, guess I'm a cynic, but it seems to me as a bit of bs when someone resigns because they were about to be outed by the coke dealer.
Maybe there are other examples of this happening, but I've never heard of any.

Wild speculation is how fake news gets thrown all over the Internet. It also expands at alarming rates.

Yep. And we should just take whatever Skipper says as 100% truth.

This just screams A1. Make sure the headline pops.
