I don't know Mrs. Jones, but if I were her girlfriend I would buy her an aluminum bat and drive her to the location of the utterly pathetic Gawker writer who dragged her name and her marriage into a story that previously made no reference to her whatsoever.

 

Jesus, the cowardly shit that goes in at Gawker sometimes makes you weep for humanity. Even the mob won't go after wives, but puke like this guy does it for the yuks of, what, 30,000 blog hits?

I don't even know what to say about today, other than that I have a hard time understanding a world that has gone completely amoral.

Also, obviously, that piece had nothing to do with my wife, who is an amazing, lovely, huge-hearted person, and who saved me today from doing some rash and stupid things. She and our boys mean everything to me. I really still can't believe that someone would write those things about her. It's beyond my scope of understanding. I literally can't comprehend it.

 

Ya, that's beyond the pale.

 

I have to think Will Leitch is ashamed at what he did to the world by giving AJ Daulerio a platform.

 

One of the keys of writing is knowing your audience. Gawker's audience must be a world of unkempt onanists and self-loathers.
