Katherine McPhee is Wonder Woman?

McPhee, who finished behind Taylor Hicks in last season's "Idol," is being considered for the big-screen version of "Wonder Woman," according to reports.

McPhee, who's talked openly about her battle with bulimia, will appear on the cover of an upcoming issue of Shape magazine clad in a bathing suit - a sort of try-out for the role.

The cover could prove she now has what it takes for the tight-fitting costumes the movie requires.

 

An excellent choice.

 

Starring in a big film is just what she needs to finally get over an eating disorder.

 

Who's going to be directing Wonder Woman anyway?

 

The movie will be directed by "Buffy" creator Joss Whedon

 

Hopefully it's as compelling as From Justin to Kelly...

 

Question... If Wonder Woman is flying in the invisible jet, will we be able to see Miss McPhee binging and purging?

 

As long as her part doesn't require singing.

 

This may go down as one of the worst casting decisions of all-time...

 

Does her invisible plane carry a barf bag?

 

You know, this sounds like a horrible decision, but on the other hand, several music stars have made surprisingly good transitions into acting. Of course, McPhee is no star, but I guess the same concept applies.

Also, isn't she from some wealthy family in LA? I'd imagine there have been more than a few acting classes in McPhee's background.

 

You've got to take any Hollywood casting story from the New York Post with a huge grain of salt.
