I find this entire situation to be very curious...

 

AP just moved a story about Olson and his wife going through a divorce.

 

Do coaches take a year off just for a divorce?

 

the divorce thing isn't the cause of the leave. heard his son is very ill. guessing the divorce could have stemmed from that situation

What a great opportunity for O'Neill.

 

If you've read Olson's recent book (full disclosure: I've done more than just read it; my name is in the acknowledgements), the divorce probably won't come as a big surprise. In his eyes, there's no way any woman could measure up to his first wife. I thought the book even made it pretty obvious that he knew it, tried not to fall for someone again, but ultimately couldn't help himself.
