That's what I was thinking, too.

 

But, Jay, the profession is dying.
Newspapers are a sinking ship -- and you aren't sure if either Chicago paper will survive.

Not going to lie, I am going to enjoy the hell out of this.
Especially Telander vs. Mariotti.

 

Can't wait to see that thrown up in his face a couple thousand times...

 

I hope Mariotti gets a security guard.

 

I'm guessing one of Jay's first columns will be live from Comiskey Park after a one-on-one sitdown with Ozzie .... oh wait, Jay doesn't actually talk to the people he writes about. He lets the beat writers do that for him, then calls them wimps for not asking the "tough" questions.

 

There have been plenty of times where I've missed the Tribune, since they no longer deliver it here.

This is not one of them.

When I think of all of the talent they've axed/bought out, and then they hire a clown like Marriotti, it really pisses me off.

 

Unfuckingbelievable. I'm now done with the paper I grew up reading.

 

Bet this goes over like a fart in church among the (remaining) staff.
