Mets made the NLCS in a punt year and have lots of dead contracts coming off the book and an owner who’s eager to spend.

I’m excited but still understand I root for the Mets. So I’m also ready to get hurt again.

I'm operating under the assumption that Santander will be somewhere other than Baltimore next year. I know Burnes is testing free agency, but I don't think it's a foregone conclusion that he leaves.

I expect Elias to be aggressive in the free agent pitching market, and there are some decent 2-4 type arms out there. Rubenstein made some comments talking about how he's not getting any younger, and he knows the scar tissue from the previous regime is still fresh with Baltimore fans. Sitting on your hands this offseason just won't do.

Will check back in on this thread the last week of February, when the Nationals go to the scrap heap to flush out the roster.

    I would rather have Canning.

This makes no sense for the Angels. They have Trout and Rendon (I know) to DH. I guess Minasian is paying back his former employer for taking Fletcher and Stasi off his hands last offseason.
