My daughter and her husband caught it about six months ago. She says her sense of taste still hasn't come back fully, and she went to urgent care over the weekend because she felt short of breath and felt her pulse rate dropping abnormally low. She got a scrip for Prednisone, which apparently got her heart rate back up where it should be.

 

What else can laymen do? The Trumpist klan refused benign encouragement. They refuse inducements. They don’t appreciate that government is making this easy by organizing events. In fact, they have shut down such events all over the country: Los Angeles; Madison, Wisc.; Georgia to name three.
And you’re hacked off at those who point a justifiable finger at the perpetrators?
Poor anti-vaxxers.

I don’t call what I have long-haul per se, but every three months or so, my airways constrict and it’s like I’m in super-high humidity. I’ve self-learned a technique of flaring my nose and laying on my stomach to make it feel as if I’m taking in more oxygen. I always get tested and I’m negative. And I haven’t had Covid since April 2020.

I just assume my lungs are now as if I smoked a pack a day for 20 years. Here’s to hoping they repair over time.

My mother-in-law hasn’t tasted anything since April 2020.
