Sell out is such a stupid phrase to use nowadays.

Hell, they made a good pop album, nothing wrong with that. When bands take chances because it was in them, not just to say they did, I applaud it. Jenny Lewis made basically a rooty-countryish album with her solo debut, and it was tremendous.

Very few bands (Ramones AC-DC) can play the same style for years and get away with it.

If you are into rock/country you should check out Josh Ritter's new cd that came out. He is like "Bruce Springsteen living in Idaho". Phenomenal cd.

Also, Timbaland's Shock Value is a must have. The collaborations on this cd are unreal. No wonder he is must sought after for producing artists' tracks.

Totally agree on Timbaland, his collaborations with One Republic, Fall Out Boy and the Hives are great.

I'm going to see a concert tomorrow, the main band is the National who I love. The opening band is called the White Rabbits, does anyone know about them? The concert is free and I can get there whenever so I'm contemplating whether to get there for the opening band or not.

When you refer to Jenny Lewis' "solo debut," are you talking about Rabbit Fur Coat? B/c that's a great album. If not, what is this debut to which you refer?

Random thought: Was cycling through the ol' iPod at the gym the other day and played "Paul's Boutique" all the way through. Forgot how freaking awesome that record was ...

And an album that could not be made today with all the sampling.

Don't miss out on this track. It's not on the album.

If you like country. New Garth Brooks single "More Than A Memory" is great. Just heard it flipping through the dial tonight while I stopped on a country station. Hear that, then turn the dial to the classic rock station and they play "Don't Go Away Mad" by the Crue. Haven't heard that in a long time.

Jesus, 'Ye. Thanks for making "Stronger" and "Can't Tell Me Nothin'" obsolete ALREADY.

Rumored third single off Graduation. This is a snippet ripped directly from the new episode of "Entourage" tonight. I'll post the CD-quality, full version as soon as I get it.

I know there are many albums dropping Sept. 11, but you need to go buy Kanye's record.
