Third single off Kanye's Graduation, "Good Life" feat. T-Pain.

If you watched Entourage last week, you'll recognize it as the song that starts playing when they get on the plane and runs through the credits.

Co-produced by DJ Toomp, the synth-master behind T.I.'s "What You Know." If you like a good beat with synthesizers, you'll like this song.

    IJAG and others:

I have Kanye West's Graduation. If you want my link before it hits stores Sept. 11 (I still recommend you buy it to support him, it's amazing), PM me.

I must say I am not that impressed by "Graduation". Few really good tracks minus "Homecoming" and "Good Life".

I know a lot of people hated on Late Registration, but that record really grew on me, especially "Roses," "My Way Home," and "Bring Me Down." "Gone" is one of my favorite rap tracks ever ... I'll definitely buy Graduation on the 11th.

"Gone" is amazing because Cam'Ron is simply bananas on the track. He may not say much on a track, but what he says makes you think.

I am going to post a review of "Graduation" at some point soon.

  6. Graduation is better than Late Registration in my opinion. Also, the 50 album sounds good too.

"Curtis" is pretty good. I only have the clean version right now, but it's a solid CD. If you like the club hits, get the 50 Cent, if you like the soulful rap better, grab Kanye.

"Fire" off of "Curtis" is his new club banger in my opinion. It has a bouncing Dr. Dre beat that fits 50's mold well, along the lines of "In Da Club" and "Just A Lil Bit". Young Buck is featured on the track and he has a pretty good couple of bars.

  8. Just found out that Emma Pollack will be opening the Spoon/New Pornographers tour in a couple of months. I'm excited! I never got to see The Delgados but loved their music.

I'll certainly grab Kanye's new album on the 11th. I really like that "Homecoming" track, it has a cathy and relaxing vibe to it. And piano in hip-hop is typically never a bad thing. The guy is just on another level when compared to other mainstream music acts.

I was on the fence on 50's album after the putrid "Massacre" and I'm not liking his new bunch of singles except the solid "Ayo Technology". I'll probably download a few of the tracks, but it's not looking worthy of a purchase.

Chamillionaire's Ultimate Victory, one of only four albums I've bought/will buy this year.

It's really a 117 MB Rar file of the MP3s, disguised as a Megarotic upload in an attempt (not by me, I say buy it when it drops) to slow down its removal from the Internet.

In preparation of the Tragically Hip coming to Halifax for their show on Thursday, I have been listening to their greatest hits compilation called Yer Favourites and it has all their hits (and my beer drinking tunes too) Anyway, there is a great DVD compilation that I got with it.

For any fans of the Hip, this is a must have. Can't wait to see them live on Thursday (something about seeing Gord Downie live that gives me goosebumps)
