i disagree with much of this column and don't think hnida is the angel the politically correct media want you to believe, but it's a damn fine column. this is a home run. jhill gets krunk today.

let go of the jellysickle sickness and give it up for a new voice.

Wow. You know, I was tired of Katie Hnida. That's a powerful way to frame her story and make it relevant, though.

Also curious about jellysickle, and that column is why I like Jemele Hill. She's excellent when she's writing on women and women's issues.

I just assumed that "jellysickle" was a word the middle-aged urban folks these days used for jealousy.

  7. jellysickle sickness is when your body has been infected with the jealousy virus. e-40 and my boy tech n9ne have a rap song called jellysickle.

  8. Not that you're bojangling or anything with that bullshit.
Good column, though. Hill's really got a stride she can hit.

Wow. That was impressive. I went back and read the Larry Johnson one, too. I've never really felt compelled to red her before, but I have to admit, she's off to a great start.

Hey, I'm probably the least hip person on the face of the earth, but isn't ``krunk'' short for ``crazy drunk?'' So is Whitlock saying Jemele was soused when she wrote this?
